Tomorrow.

The air around us seems to thicken,
As I get pulled away from you.
This plane has me going nowhere,
For nowhere is when I'm missing you.

We once laughed at the sight of tomorrow,
Dismissed it, along with our right minds.
We swore we would love passionately,
We swore we didn't mind reality.

And as time went by, so we did.
We filled our days with each other, taking it all in.
And there was no pattern, no guideline to our lives, colliding together.
Spinning endlessly into one another, collapsing at the bottom of our hearts.

I fed off of your tender strokes,
You breathed my rusty soul away.
And we didn’t see Tomorrow coming,
For all that mattered was today.

And as it did, we broke lose without control.
I got pulled away from you by the tomorrow we never saw coming.

Tell me, now:
Is there a Me, without you?
Is there a You, without me?
